Growth across all sectors in a busy first quarter for Granada

The first three months of 2019 have shown continued expansion for Granada, from design and specification through to installation, maintenance and servicing.

Major contracts have been secured in all business areas, with significant growth in the offshore wind sector including new projects for Engie Fabricom for the Moray East and Triton Knoll wind farms, with delivery and commissioning of Granada’s Python davit cranes nearing completion for a separate Triton Knoll contract for Smulders. Granada’s portfolio shows further expansion within the aerospace, general manufacturing and automotive sectors, with projects completed this quarter for clients such as Vauxhall, at their Ellesmere Port plant. Despite strong competition, Granada has won contracts for the company’s standard range of cranes and gantries, including single- and double-box girder cranes.

Mark Sidwell, director at Granada comments,
“The success we’ve had through this first quarter is extremely encouraging – in the face of a great deal of competition and in an uncertain climate. Our service department is busy with offshore commissioning contracts and with onshore servicing and maintenance, while our engineers and project teams are continuing to secure and deliver on major contracts across all our target sectors. Granada’s staff – whether at our Rochdale headquarters, our Broughton base or onsite and offshore at wind farms throughout Europe – are the people who deliver these successes, and their expertise and commitment underpins our continued growth and presence within our industry.”
